I went to Pompton Plains NJ last Sunday to walk the Labyrinth, thought I would share a little of my experience with you.

First of all, I have to say it was one of the most calming, emotional "meditations" I have ever experienced. I had never been to a labyrinth before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Joachim Becker was wonderful about introducing the concept and providing guidance to those of us who were unsure about the experience. He even had a short video about different labyrinths - it was very helpful. The labyrinth itself was much larger than I expected, and is an exact replica of the one in the Chartres Cathedral. (It took me almost an hour to walk it.) Joachim had the area set up with candles and beautiful music, it truly was amazing.

As soon as I entered the area where the labyrinth was set up, tears came to my eyes. I had to stop and gather myself before I could even begin to walk. The walk itself was a profound experience. I won't talk about my thoughts and emotions , because I'm sure they are different for everyone. But I will say that it gave a whole new meaning to the words "let go and let God(de)".

After experiencing this, I know I need to learn more about the Divine energy associated with labyrinths. And I'm going to have to build one of my own. I'm hooked - I want more!

This Labyinth is a cancas version of the Chartres Cathedral Labinth in France. If was made by Robert Ferre from Labyrinth Enterprises. We set it up with lots of candles and gregorian chants in Bose Sound.

Your site it beautiful! I am making a 5 circuit labyrinth in my backyard. It's quick and simple, made of earth and river rock. All of the materials and labor just fell into my lap! Can you recommend a few 5 circuit designs? Thank you so much.

It was a wonderful experience to meet all of you and share your thoughts: Calming...clear...balance...relaxing...reflective...vibrate...happy...mediative...centering.
This form of mediation will assist you to "Love one another AS you love yourself."
